Surgery Description, Dates & Side Effects: from Oct. 2004 to July 2009 I have had 3 colon surgeries, now there is nothing left, a total hysterectomy and my gallbladder removed. I have had more colonoscopies than I can count...and have had two port-a-caths in and out.
Chemotherapy Description, Dates & Side Effects: two 6 month bouts...one 2004 to 2005. next March 2007 to Sept. 2007 Nueropathy, memory loss, balance issues, joint and muscle pain

Chemotherapy Description, Dates & Side Effects: Bendamustine + Rituximab starting 3/17/15 for six months. Side effects: fatigue, nausea, vomiting, hair thinning.

Medical Term for the Type of Cancer: Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the anus
Anal Cancer Symptoms: Rectal bleeding, itching, sciatic pain. (thought my hemorhoid was acting up)
Surgery Description, Dates & Side Effects: Laminectomy and tumor removal of the metestatic sacral tumor. This was done microscopically (with a small spoon). Nov 2012 Wedge resection right lower lobe via thoracotomy.
Chemotherapy Description, Dates & Side Effects: 2 rounds, 96 hours each week 1 and week 5 during radiation of 5-FU. Mytomycin-C first round only. Hairloss, nausea, vomiting, 30 pounds of weight loss. Recurrence 2013- 4 rounds of Cisplatin with 46 hours of 5-FU with each round.

Breast Cancer Symptoms: 2019 - new mass in left breast. 2010- None - I found a lump, which turned out to by a cyst. That cyst was hiding one of the cancer tumors. The other tumor was closer to my chest wall.
Surgery Description, Dates & Side Effects: 11/22/2010 - bilateral mastectomy with tissue expanders. 4/21/2011 - swap out surgery for implants 9/29/2011 - revision surgery to left side

It is REALLY scary. Hope is as important as breath.

If meds for chemo side effects are bothering you like perhaps anti-nausea meds causing constipation, talk to your doctor about alternatives or possibly trying to go without that Med and see how you make out.
